Planned Giving

“Planned Giving” is a term used to describe gifts to be made in the future. It can also be called “deferred giving” or “estate planning.”

Planned giving can take the form of an unrestricted or a restricted gift. Unrestricted gifts may be used as determined by the Board of Directors at the time the gift is received. Restricted gifts will be used for a specific purpose, determined by the donor.

The Waterloo Schools Foundation is glad to work with you and your legal, financial, and/or tax advisors to discuss your options and work towards a planned gift that carries out your legacy.

Common planned giving options include:
● Bequests
● Retirement plans
● Life insurance policies
● Appreciated property
● Charitable remainder trusts

All charitable gifts should be directed to:

Waterloo Schools Foundation
P.O. Box 1896
Waterloo, IA 50704

All contributions to the Waterloo Schools Foundation are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law. Federal EIN 42-1364293

The Waterloo Schools Foundation provides support for a full range of charitable gift planning options and services. However, we do not offer legal or financial advice. We recommend prospective donors consult with their attorney, financial advisor, accountant, or estate planning professional.
