parent university
Parent University was a district initiative that aimed to provide family and guardian involvement in student’s academics.
Up to four times a year, schools would host a PU night that included a free meal and lesson related to literacy or math. Families would be encouraged to bring home a similar activity to continue learning together.
Initially, the program was piloted in four elementary schools. It proved successful and eventually rolled out to all elementary schools.
Since its inception, we have funded over $130,000 to support this program.
