Development & Communications Manager

The Waterloo Schools Foundation is seeking a highly motivated individual to foster the culture of philanthropy in the Cedar Valley that benefits Waterloo's public schools. This person will be responsible for implementing the organization's tactical plan for fundraising and marketing, including annual campaigns, grant writing, and all social media management. This position requires a creative thinker who can work independently and on a team while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment. 

Salary Range : $40,000-$50,000 + Benefits | Full Time, 40 Hours

Executive Director

Hannah joined the Waterloo Schools Foundation team in August 2020 and began her role as the Executive Director in September 2021. She has a burning desire to ensure all students have the ability to grow, develop, and make their education their own. Her tangible passion for public education allows her to lead the WSF with grace, zest, and a

community-centered mindset.


Hannah graduated from the University of Northern Iowa ('21) earning a B.A. in Recreation, Tourism, & Nonprofit Leadership, a minor in International Relations, a certificate in Global Health & Humanitarian Assistance, and is a Certified Nonprofit Professional.

Communication Specialist

Hailee Merryman has been a part of the WSF team since June 2021 as the executive assistant. Hailee Merryman brings communication aspects to the Waterloo Schools Foundation consisting of PR practices, special events, marketing, and design. Merryman is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with an emphasis on Special Events.
