2025 BY THE NUMBERS

As we jump into 2026, we're taking a moment to pause and celebrate what our community has made possible over the past year. Thanks to generous supporters, we invested $370,423 this year across the Waterloo Schools!

Take a look at this impact:

• $95,430.03 invested in the Waterloo Career Center student greenhouse, a brand new place of opportunity and innovation for students exploring the world of agri-science at the Career Center

• $13,000 to support Veridian’s Middle School CTE Camp, expanding career exploration opportunities for younger students

• $30,000 invested in the Waterloo Career Center’s cybersecurity program for student experiences and workforce-ready training

• 75 Camp Invention student scholarships for hands-on STEM learning

• 27 student and staff grants supporting classroom innovation and student career exploration across the nation

• 51 standard teaching licenses for educators returning to WCSD after their 2nd year

• Continued support for Coaches Academy

• Funding for the WCSD speech & debate team through our Critical Thinking Endowment

• District-wide staff appreciation initiatives throughout the year

• Reading support through the Ruth Pazdera Reading Endowment

• Ongoing investment in the Teach Waterloo Program

Because of people like you, all of these programs and initiatives were able to impact the 12,000 students and staff in the Waterloo Schools. Thank you for carrying this momentum into the new year and believing in public education.
